ECCCT
Overview
The Electronic Combat Casualty Care Training System (ECCCT) provides instruction on diagnosis, triage and
treatment of injuries that occur commonly on the battlefield but are not often seen prior to deployment - such
as blast injuries. ECCCT is meant to:
- Augment existing hands-on training
- Provide ongoing sustainment training
- Provide just-in-time training
Approach
The ECCCT cognitive and instructional approach incorporates three types of learning:
- Conceptual provides the foundation for understanding
- Procedural step-by-step instructions for diagnosis, triage, and treatment
- Case-based application of knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios
Target Audience
The ECCCT course is currently targeted to corpsmen. We are exploring the development of the content
for all echelons of care and levels of medical expertise.
