EDETS
Overview
The Electronic Direct Energy Training System (EDETS) provides instruction on diagnosis, triage and treatment
of injuries related to directed energy. EDETS is meant to:
- Augment existing hands-on training
- Provide ongoing sustainment training
- Provide just-in-time training
Approach
The EDETS cognitive and instructional approach incorporates three types of learning:
- Conceptual – provides the foundation for understanding
- Procedural – step-by-step instructions for diagnosis, triage, and treatment
- Case-based – application of knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios
Target Audience
The EDETS course is currently targeted to IDMTs. We are exploring the development of the content for
all echelons of care and levels of medical expertise.
Delivery
The Sapien Training System (STS) is delivered in a number of formats to best suit your users. Whether sitting
in sand for a month waiting for the action to start, or studying back at home, The STS is delivered to you in a
form that can be used.
